How It Works
Want to have one or more of your cards graded? Check out an explanation of your options and the grading process below:
Grading Options:
Standard: for grading up to 10 cards at a time, with the option to add return shipping insurance of up to $400. This option is great if you do not want to spend on return shipping insurance, or if the total declared value of your cards is on the low end.
High-Value: for grading up to 10 cards at a time, with added return shipping insurance between $400.01 and $600. This option is ideal for shipment of multiple high-value cards, where you would want to include return shipping insurance. If you need additional insurance for the total declared value of your shipment, see the High-Value Plus insurance option below.
High-Value Plus: for grading up to 10 cards, with added return shipping insurance between $600.01 and $5,000. This option is best reserved for very high-valued shipments and requires a custom invoice (email support@greenstargrading.com).
Shipping Your Cards:
After you have purchased a grading service, you will be instructed to send your cards in. Cards to be graded can be sent to the following address:
Green Star Labs
25 Stickney Ter UNIT 612
Hampton, NH, 03843
We highly suggest you send each card in a hard toploader/sleeve to prevent damage during transit to our facility. Please ensure your return address is the address you would like your card(s) returned to.
The Grading Process:
Cards are graded in a climate-controlled, air-monitored setting. Gloves are used at all times while handling. Cards are examined under magnification under consistent light spectra. Cards are graded according to the engineer-designed criteria outlined on our Home page, to ensure consistent and fair grading.
We target to ship out your graded card(s) no later than 2 weeks after receipt.
Additional Info:
Please note that the insurance option you choose during checkout, if any, does not apply during shipment to our facility. It only applies to return shipment from our facility after grading. Insurance values represent the total declared value of the graded card(s).
Services must be paid for, and order number generated, prior to sending in your cards. Cards sent in without payment will be returned to the shipper at their cost (an invoice will be sent).
Toploaders, card sleeves, etc., received by Green Star Labs for protection during transit will be discarded after grading and will not be returned. This is standard in the card grading industry and prevents the need for increased shipping costs. Graded slabs will be sent in with appropriate packaging to prevent undue damage, whilst avoiding wasteful overpackaging.
Although we strive to provide pristine and uniform graded slabs, it is possible that faint scuffs or “imperfections” may be present on a slab or label. This is to be expected. If you feel that a slab contains excessive marring which detracts from the appeal of the card as a whole, please reach out to support@greenstargrading.com to discuss with a customer representative.
Disclaimers:
Green Star Labs is not responsible for cards or slabs damaged by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). Mail insurance is offered as a purchased service add-on.
Customers are responsible for the price of shipping to our facility. Free return shipping is offered on all purchases. Priority Mail is offered as a purchased service add-on.
Typical grading options only apply to the continental United States (excludes Alaska and Hawaii). If you are interested in Non-Continental U.S. shipping, or international shipments, please send an email to support@greenstargrading.com.
